C.W. Matthews Contracting is made up of multiple divisions capable of performing grading, asphalt, concrete and structures work, as well as underground utilities services. Together, they form a complete contracting outfit capable of delivering roadway projects of virtually any size and scope to meet Georgia’s infrastructure needs. C.W. Matthews proudly serves Georgia as the state’s go-to contractor in times of emergency. We’ve earned that responsibility by rising to meet challenges that impact thousands of motorists, moving quickly to reconstruct damaged or destroyed infrastructure in the aftermath of natural disasters. Our construction expertise, fleet size, depth of resources, and workforce make us uniquely qualified to respond when Georgia needs us most.

In 2017, CWM was called upon by GDOT to reconstruct one of Atlanta’s most heavily traveled bridges on I-85 after it caught fire and collapsed. Our teams worked round the clock, seven days a week to successfully rebuild the destroyed bridge more than one month ahead of schedule. Today, we continue to respond to emergencies both large and small to keep Georgia moving.
