C.W. Matthews Contracting is made up of multiple divisions capable of performing grading, asphalt, concrete and structures work, as well as underground utilities services. Together, they form a complete contracting outfit capable of delivering roadway projects of virtually any size and scope to meet the South's infrastructure needs. Each division is led by a team of industry experts who uphold the highest quality standards to complete public bid, Design-Build, private development, and emergency service contracts.

C.W. Matthews proudly serves as one of the DOT's go-to contractors in times of emergency. We’ve earned that responsibility by rising to meet challenges that impact thousands of motorists, moving quickly to reconstruct damaged or destroyed infrastructure in the aftermath of natural disasters. Our construction expertise, fleet size, depth of resources, and workforce make us uniquely qualified to respond when the South needs us most.

In 2017, CWM was called upon by GDOT to reconstruct one of Atlanta’s most heavily traveled bridges on I-85 after it caught fire and collapsed. Our teams worked round the clock, seven days a week to successfully rebuild the destroyed bridge more than one month ahead of schedule. Today, we continue to respond to emergencies both large and small to keep the Southeast moving.
