Project Details

The $114 million dollar project consists of extensive site preparation to support a focused effort to increase airport cargo operations at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. Indicative scopes included approximately 1.3 million CY embankment, 11,000 tns of asphalt paving, 20,000 SY PCC paving, and 14,000 lf of storm drainage.

To facilitate this site development, this project also relocated segments of Sullivan Road and the NLVR, relocated public utilities as well as DOA fiber optic cable. Additional scope included construction of a new Police K-9 Facility, a new DOA Facility Maintenance operation building, new FAA fiber optic and communication equipment.

To ensure the effective execution of this project, C.W. Matthews has formed a joint venture with Kelley Construction Company, Inc. (KCCI). KCCI, a well-established DBE contractor in Metro Atlanta, brings invaluable expertise and skilled resources to the partnership. Both C.W. Matthews and KCCI actively participate in the construction of this and other HJAIA projects. This collaborative approach underscores a shared commitment to advancing infrastructure at the world’s busiest airport and fostering economic growth in Atlanta.
