The Sardis Church Road Widening and Reconstruction project is located in Bibb County, Georgia. The purpose of the project was to provide an East/West corridor from I-75 to SR 247, to better facilitate traffic into the area around Robbins Air Force Base.
The project consisted of a little less than 7 miles of widening and reconstruction. The project started just east of I-75 and continued to SR 247. The project consisted of five miles of new location construction along with two miles of widening the existing roadway. Five bridges were also constructed. CWM moved over 1.1 million cubic yards of material and installed over 60,000 feet of storm drain pipe during the project.
