Located in the rapidly developing Town Center area of Kennesaw, Georgia, the South Barrett Reliever Phase 3 project represents a vital step forward in improving traffic flow, supporting economic growth, and enhancing safety for commuters and pedestrians. As part of Cobb County’s long-range transportation strategy, this project aims to alleviate congestion along the Barrett Parkway corridor by offering an alternative route to and from the I-75 interchange.
This multi-phase infrastructure initiative was designed to address the growing transportation needs of one of the busiest commercial and residential corridors in metro Atlanta. Once complete, the South Barrett Reliever will provide a continuous east-west connection between Cobb Parkway (US 41) and Barrett Lakes Boulevard, ultimately improving access to major retailers, local businesses, Kennesaw State University, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Once completed, the South Barrett Reliever will significantly reduce travel delays along Barrett Parkway, improve emergency response access, and offer safer options for pedestrians and cyclists. The project is part of a broader vision to improve mobility and quality of life in Cobb County and stands as a testament to our commitment to building resilient infrastructure that supports Georgia’s growth.
Phase 3 is expected to be completed in late 2026, bringing the South Barrett Reliever corridor another step closer to full operation. This project underscores our team’s continued dedication to “Getting Georgia Home.”
