Meet Nikolai, one of our long-time CWM family members who is loved by all and has served as a Mechanic since 1989! A little bit about Nikolai’s story…
He was born and raised in Ukraine as one of nine children with two loving parents who were often persecuted simply for their Christian faith. He has memories of the many sacrifices that his parents made for them that led to their ultimate decision to flee the country in 1987. They made their way to Italy where they were chosen to be sponsored by the Presbyterian Church in Roswell, Georgia. Losing all their luggage and belongings on their way to the United States, they finally arrived in Georgia and began their new life. Nikolai and his wife raised two daughters of their own and still live happily in Roswell.
Nikolai soon found his way to CWM and has been family ever since. He’s an excellent mechanic in our shop and is known for his servant’s heart and work-ethic – he works long nightshifts to support our asphalt crews during the busy paving season.
Nikolai’s brother’s children still live in Ukraine and are now currently fighting in the war. We ask that you join us in praying for their safety! Our hearts & prayers go out to all the people of Ukraine.
