Working in Grading & Earthwork

As a member of C.W. Matthews Grading and Earthwork Division, you’ll play an important role in our company’s central service by building roads that connect communities throughout Georgia. You’ll work closely with fellow crew members using large-scale heavy equipment to reshape the earth’s surface according to roadway design plans. The work is tough, dirty, and for those who make their career doing it, more satisfying than any other job you could imagine. The work you do will have a lasting impact on public infrastructure used by Georgia’s citizens every day, and with numerous crew positions there is endless opportunity for advancement.
